Short Term Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Children's Medical Center Dallas as a Short Term Volunteer. You are applying for a special volunteer program where each volunteer will commit to volunteering a minimum of eight hours per week for three to six months consecutively.
After an application has been completed, you will be required to complete the following steps:
- A completed confidentiality form and consent for background check.
- Complete two rounds of TB testing.
- Complete a health form and have it signed by a nurse in Children's Occupational Health Services department.
- At Children's, complete an orientation training module and take a photo for an identification badge.
Nancy Johnson, a Children's volunteer, encourages creativity as she leads an arts and crafts session with Billy Fielder, 5, and Madalyn White, 8, in the C10 playroom. In 2007, volunteers contributed more than 150,000 hours to make life better for children.
