Photo of the Pavilion Surgery CenterDesigned to accommodate patients undergoing outpatient, elective surgery, the state-of-the-art center boasts eight operating rooms, highly skilled staff, ample waiting areas and free parking. The Pavilion Surgery Center at Children’s was built with patients and their families in mind, so convenience and accessibility are priorities of the new center.

“The physical layout and flow is designed to improve speed and efficiency,” says Terry Hayes, director of the Pavilion Surgery Center at Children’s. “The focus is on high-quality patient care.”

The environment will be friendly, personalized and focused on family-centered care. The center even offers an area designated for adult waiting so parents and other family members can wait for their child in a quiet, relaxing area.

The Pavilion Surgery Center is located at Motor Street and Stemmons Freeway (in the former Menswear Mart building) just blocks from the hospital’s main campus. A nine-story parking garage at the center will provide 2,435 parking spaces, and connecting sky bridges are planned from the garage to the main hospital.
