A Traveler's First Aid Kid

These supplies can help you deal with minor emergencies:

bullet Thermometer
bullet Antibiotic first aid cream
bullet Burn ointment
bullet Adhesive bandages in several sizes, sterile gauze pads
bullet Adhesive tape
bullet Small scissors
bullet Alcohol wipes
bullet Acetaminophen (chewable is convenient), for fever or pain
bullet Pedialyte® (for diarrhea or dehydration)
bullet Diphenhydramine (Benadryl®) for allergy
bullet Hydrocortisone cream (for itching)
bullet Insect repellent
bullet Elastic bandage
bullet Triangular bandage (for arm injury or to be used as a tourniquet)
bullet Small flashlight
bullet Cold pack (a plastic bag with cooler ice will do)
bullet A blanket (to use for chills or as a splint)
bullet Calamine lotion for rashes caused by poison ivy or other poisonous plants.
bullet Tweezers without teeth (for removing slivers or ticks)
bullet Bee sting injection kit (Anyone allergic to bees should be taken to an emergency room for treatment if stung.)
bullet Make sure you have: health insurance cards for every passenger and any prescription medications your family needs.
